Kitesurfing at the Brouwersdam is the Dutch classic: 6.5 kilometres of dam between the North Sea and the Grevelingen lake, with beach clubs and schools directly on the sand — Natural High has taught here since 2003 and Kiteschool Brouwersdam rigs next door. Sleep at Resort Land & Zee, 150 metres over the dunes at the dam's southern mouth — or bring the family to the mythical Center Parcs Port Zélande on the lake side, two minutes by car from the zone, with its wave pool for the non-riders. Know the rules before you pump: the legal kite zone is the SEA side, from pavilion De Kous south to the Scharendijke end — the lake side and the swim zone are off-limits.

The mythical family park on the lake side of the dam: 700+ cottages, Aqua Mundo wave pool, restaurants, marina — 2 min by car or a bike ride to the kite zone. Our one drive-to exception, stated honestly.
Resort Land & Zee
Rooms, apartments and chalets at the Brouwersdam's southern mouth — 150 m over the dunes to the North Sea, at the kite beach's end of the dam. Open year-round.
