The beach pole of Gruissan's kite life: Akila's Pôle Mer teaches kite, wingfoil, windsurf and catamaran on the Plage des Chalets — three-hour group lessons capped at three students, individual radios, gear renewed every year — while the Akila Academy trains the next generation of instructors (IKO ITC, BPJEPS) on the same sand. The lagoon pole at Mateille is windsurf and wing only: kite stays on the sea.
