Kitesurfing at Lo Stagnone is Sicily's giant training pool: a 20 km² protected lagoon of knee-to-waist water behind Isola Longa, with grassy private launches along the Birgi Vecchi shore and the Resort Santa Maria sitting 50 m from the water.
