Mexico's kitesurfing capital is a dusty Baja village that fills with wind people every winter. At La Ventana, the venturi between the shore and Cerralvo Island drives 15 to 25 knot thermals from November to March, and the lodges stand directly on the launch — several with their own kite school inside the property, so gear, lesson and bed share one address. Europe's off-season is Baja's main event.
