The Aegean wind machine
Kitesurfing in Greece runs on one wind: the Meltemi, which turns the Aegean into a wind machine every summer. Pounda on Paros funnels it through the Antiparos channel; Mikri Vigla on Naxos squeezes five to ten extra knots out of it. Both spots have rooms within a five-minute walk of the launch, so the session ends where the family already is — on the beach, with a taverna behind and water warm enough for the kids.
