Kitesurfing at Naxos means Mikri Vigla, the Meltemi mecca of the Cyclades: on Parthena beach the channel between Naxos and Paros squeezes the wind 5 to 10 knots above the neighbouring bays. The Flisvos Kite Centre works the bay and the Hotel Orkos Beach sleeps you 50 metres from the sand, with a second beach around the headland for swimming when the kite zone gets busy.
