The wave-side kitesurf school of Dakhla, on the beach of the Ocean Vagabond eco-lodge at the peninsula tip: the Lassarga right-hander breaks in front of the center, and beginners are driven ~10 minutes by 4x4 to the flat, shallow Lassarga Lagoon for their first tacks — groups of two students maximum.

The Kitesurf Camp verdict The school for riders who outgrew the butter: waves in front of the center all winter, fresh Duotone gear, and a proper safety net on the water. Beginners aren't thrown in the surf — they get the flat lagoon, a 4x4 ride away, two students per instructor.
